Sensapp became a Skyresponse Partner in October 2023 and has since integrated the Skyresponse Platform into its solutions for several municipalities across Sweden. Among the early adopters, Vingåker Municipality, known for embracing new technology and innovation, began implementing Sensapp’s solutions in October 2024 to meet the growing need for advanced welfare solutions. Together with Vinnova, as the financier, they have started the project “Ecosystem for an Age-Friendly Community”.
Through this collaboration, Vingåker municipality leverages Sensapp’s digital technologies to improve the efficiency of daily care operations. Through its collaboration with Skyresponse, Sensapp offers solutions like digital night surveillance and mobile safety alarms, empowering home care staff to prioritise in-person care where it is most needed. This partnership, focusing on innovation, provides significant value by enhancing safety, efficiency, and quality of care for municipalities, their employees, and residents.
Creating a safer and more responsive environment
Through Sensapp’s solution, integrated with Skyresponse’s alarm management Platform, Vingåker municipality has deployed a unified system where all incoming alarms and events are efficiently managed by a dedicated independent emergency response center. Alarms that require immediate action are forwarded directly to the appropriate home care team, while other alarma and events can be resolved remotely. This approach has simplified workflows, reduced response times, and enabled staff to attend to residents faster and more flexibly, ensuring help arrives from the closest available caregiver.
One notable benefit of this collaboration is the streamlined app-based alarm system, which replaces multiple legacy systems. This system allows staff to log off during breaks, creating a more balanced and efficient workday, while giving seniors confidence that help is just a touch away.
Driving impact with innovative welfare technology
Initial results demonstrate the positive impact of these digital advancements. For example, digital night monitoring with radar sensors provides seniors with a sense of security at home without the need for in-person visits at night. Mobile safety alarms give both seniors and care staff an added sense of security, and the digital shopping system has significantly reduced heavy lifting, enhanced workplace conditions and allowing caregivers to focus more on personal care tasks.
Looking ahead, Vingåker Municipality, in collaboration with Sensapp and Skyresponse, plans to implement additional welfare solutions, including medication dispensers in home healthcare and pilot tests of daytime digital surveillance via the service called “Bubblan”.
This partnership between Skyresponse and Sensapp is a clear step forward in the evolution of welfare technology, providing municipalities with the tools they need to create safer, more efficient, and responsive home care environments that benefit both caregivers and the communities they serve.
