Skyresponse welcomes David Nilsson as CTO

We are excited to welcome David Nilsson as our new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). David joined the team on 2 February, and brings over 25 years of experience in software engineering, platform architecture and global technology leadership — making him a powerful addition as Skyresponse continues to grow in Europe.

David has spent his career bridging the gap between deep-tech innovation and market-ready products. From leading engineering at Johnson & Johnson across the Asia-Pacific region, to scaling a mission-driven platform to over one million users at abillion in Singapore, to directing the next-generation RTLS platform at Mobilaris Industrial Solutions in Luleå — he combines global perspective with hands-on technical depth.

"We are thrilled to have David on board", said Mats Berthem, Executive Officer (CEO) at Skyresponse. "His experience in scaling mission-critical cloud platforms and driving digital transformation across international markets is exactly what we need as we accelerate our growth in the Nordics, UK and Europe. David has the ability to connect technology strategy with real business impact — and that is invaluable to us right now."

In his role as CTO, David will lead the development and scalability of Skyresponse's cloud-native platform, drive the technical roadmap for international expansion, and continue the evolution from legacy analogue infrastructure to modern, interoperable services across connected care, smart buildings and public safety. He will also drive the strategic use of AI—both to enhance internal development efficiency and innovation, and to deliver intelligent, data-driven capabilities for customers, enabling greater automation, predictive insights, and improved real-time decision-making.

"I am excited to join Skyresponse at such a defining moment", said David. "The platform has a strong foundation and a clear ambition — to transform how care, safety and alarm management services are delivered at scale. I look forward to accelerating that journey together with the team, and to building the technical infrastructure that will take Skyresponse to new markets and new heights."

David holds a degree in Computer Science and Electronics from Luleå University of Technology and is based in Sweden.

Welcome to the team, David!
